Volunteer—support our students!

Classroom Volunteers are a motivated group of people who work with a specific classroom or after-school group every week. People have brought their amazing skills and are learning a lot in return. Reach out to lucia@hopecirclepvd.org or chirs@hopecirclepvd.org and we’ll find a good match for your talents and interests!
After-school Tutors are volunteers who relish a chance to interact with students one-on-one, helping with homework, conducting research, or working on a college application. Please contact kathy@hopecirclepvd.org.
Reading Tutors are a dedicated crew who first learn the important essentials of how to teach students to learn to read with a reading specialist, and then spend time each week with one or two pupils. Hope has innumerable students whose reading skills are significantly below grade level, and many Special Education students for whom reading is a Special challenge!
Hope Street Fashions volunteers are crazy about kids, and enjoy helping them look and feel their best! We take in clean and stylish donations from our East Side neighbors, and sell them to the students— for $1-3, or for dropping some knowledge in response to our Challenge Questions. It’s tons of fun, and perfect for those who like fashion, organizing, marketing, cleaning out closets, and seeing young faces light up!
One-Time Opportunities can give busy people the chance to stop in at Hope and see firsthand the energy and creativity of Hope students, by helping out at Parent-Teacher Night, Multicultural Night, play performances, concerts, Field Day, and other special events.
And we need YOU.
Your talents, skills and interests can open up a whole world to a young person trying to learn English, find a career interest, or fill out a college application. To find out more, contact us lucia@hopecirclepvd.org
